Consulting

Investigative and Technical Consulting

Dr. Clayton Johnson has been called upon most of his life to “solve problems” and most often is used in the capacity of a trouble-shooter (he works best at recognizing the source of a given problem and then coming up with a solution). Over the years he has acquired considerable skills at being able to recognize the “potential” for problems and heading them off before they are able to create larger problems.

Early on, Dr. Johnson, was involved in business with retail operations. He was most often tasked with taking retail operations that were in “trouble”, loosing money and turning them around into profitable outlets. He worked in such varied environments such as Austin, Texas, Cameron, Texas and Houston, Texas. He was successful at turning around all the outlets he was assigned during his management career. This was accomplished using a wide range of solutions such as personnel realignment and reassignment, property management and inventory and cash control methods. This allowed Dr. Johnson to develop a strong sense of what was required for sensible people and facility management.

After approximately 10 to 15 years in business, Dr. Johnson decided to move on to anther career choice; this followed a strong interest for science that he had always carried in his youth. He reentered college and acquired a second degree in chemistry and used this to gain access to graduate school where he obtained a Masters in Biology and completed the requirements for a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology. From this he has spent the last 15 years building a strong background in all aspects of what is required to complete the goals set in scientific research. More recently he has spent considerable time in developing his skils in setting and completing goals in the area of medical research.

Essentially, Mycropaths technologies is a startup company that intends to provide, initially, to satisfy the outsourcing functional needs for various, governmental, medical and basic research laboratories. The company intends to develop a wide range of experience in order to satisfy any needs called for by its customer base. Some of these needs could be as simple as day to day oversight of the laboratory management, such as oversight and maintenance of most common laboratory equipment, maintenance and management of essential and valuable laboratory stocks, setting up and maintaining various laboratory inventories, etc. In the present day world many pathology labs are finding themselves stretched for typing and analytical capabilities, we will establish the expertise in order to fill the niches required to complete any task these labs are called on to provide by a given deadline. Initially, we intend to act a more economical outsourcing entity to small clinical laboratories for sample typing and assay analysis. (Mycropaths technologies will have significant experience in the state of the art area of Biomarkers- involving the areas of genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics and biochemical analysis.)

Another area that Mycropaths Technologies will provide expertise in is the establishment of both basic and specialty laboratories. The personnel has experience in the planning and construction of laboratories from Biosafety level of 1 to that of Biosafety level 3. This would involve direct planning with the architects involved in the initial laboratory design all the way through to cooperation and/or oversight with the building subcontractors, as well as negotiations with vendors of laboratory equipment and purchasing through institutional purchasing entities.
